1.) How many days per week do you play?

I play every day with the exception of a few vacation days. I signed on in September 2021 and have 40 sessions in.

2.) What time of day do you play?

I find practicing right after breakfast works best for me. This gives practice a priority before getting into the chores of the day.

    3.) Where do you play?

I have been practicing in my living room because I like the echo from the high ceilings but recently cleared out our guest room to set it up as a music room. This way I don’t get distracted by others using the kitchen/ living room

4.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? (if possible name 3 ways).

I have been a dabbler for 50 years. I would play and start a course or buy a new songbook, play for a month or so, then get frustrated because I expected myself to master it in a month. I would then put the guitar away for months (or years). I never took lessons and have never had the patience for music lessons. It has been the surest way for me to lose interest in an instrument,

Using Tony’s method of short sessions each day with short skills courses has helped a LOT. I have gotten back into playing and refreshed my skills with the 30 day intro challenge, then moved to blues course, which I stopped when chellenged by High and Lonesome. I then moved to flat picking basics, which helped and started fretboard wizard (I paused half way through to absorb the theories. This has helped a lot with understanding chords and really learning scales like G and C and now E flat blues scale.

I did the finger stretch course and do these every day. This has helped going back to High and Lonesome and pinky action.

I started the fingerpicking course today and will try again at Hammer on the Hurt.

    Thanks Tony.

This is a shot of me with my 1955 O15 Martin.

Nice guitar @Fehorse ! It’s great to read these How I TAC, because it allows us to get to know you a bit better and to put a face to a name. It sounds as if you’ve accomplished quite a bit in the short time with TAC. Keep up the great work!
