How I TAC
.) How many days per week do you play? Most of the time, seven days a week.
.) What time of day do you play? I do my daily challenge 6:30 am on weekdays .
.) when I get home, I work on scales, songs I’m working on or something else . I just started the 12 bar blues as part of my routine. I practice whenever I can fit it in.
.) Where do you play? The couch in my living room. I love playing out on my porch when the weather permits. Coming to my area soon!!
.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? I didn’t have any direction before I joined TAC. I joined In January of 2020 and hardly ever miss a day. The 1st year I spent most of my time on the daily challenges. Especially the licks! I can now do most of the dailies the first time through! I am working on scales and the Wednesday improvisation more with a goal of playing on line. I took the fretboard wizard class and the fret board, how chords are composed, the structure of a song and the key it in is starting to make sense. I continue to work on finger picking and flat picking and I seem to be making progress!
.) Bonus Question: What is one non-guitar item that is a must have in your guitar routine? Like many others; coffee, since my practice is in the morning. I also love watching performances from all in the TAC community and their encouraging comments.
