How I TAC
1.) How many days per week do you play?
I play 7 days a week in my “Cave”. I’ve committed myself to practice at least 10 Minutes every day. I lot of days this is all I get done but I am still seeing progress.
2.) What time of day do you play?
I have been practicing between 8:30 and (:00 Pm every day since late November 2020. I find this is a good time for me but may try to switch this up because many days I am very tired.
3.) Where do you play?
I play in my “Cave” where I have a large TV setup to help me see the lesson and I can control the lighting. Bringing I am Visually Impaired I need the proper area to allow me to practice.
4.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? (if possible name 3 ways).
Before I set up a routine my practice was irregular, sometimes I would practice for weeks then miss a month or more. Pre Covid I was playing with friends every week which helped to motivate me.
– Regular and dependable progress has to be my number 1 here. Due to the consistency I feel myself getting better every day.
– having a plan every day with the daily challenge helps a lot in giving me direction. I don’t always like the challenges but understand how the improve my playing, the old no pain no gain haha
– Daily playing and having a play to play means once I’m sitting down I’m ready to go, no distractions just skills to enhance.
5.) Bonus Question: What is one non-guitar item that is a must have in your guitar routine?
Big Screen – with limited vision I need to see what I can and this helps a lot. Also Cadbury Mini Eggs, play something good and I give myself a treat.
