How I TAC – DebV
Hello TAC-ers!
I am a new TAC member,, today is my one month TACiversary! So far I am really loving it! Thanks Tony!
I am in the process of setting my guitar routine. Initially, I had thought I would play in the evening. It turns out that often I am too tired by that time. So now I listen to my new lesson first thing in the morning, and do a rough 10 or 15 minute play through to get a feel for it. Then, later in the day, when I’m finished with daily obligations, I sit down and spend an hour or so learning and practicing. I play through some old lessons to warm up and then go on to the current lesson. I have almost finished the 30 day challenge. I play 4 – 7 days per week.
I travel a lot. When I am home (I share a home with my daughter and her family) I practice in my living room in front of my computer. This is not ideal. The house can be noisy with the 3 grandkids running around. They are still home schooling due to COVID and I supervise them while my daughter and her husband are at work. So I am in the process of converting the upstairs loft into a music room. My 90 day goal is to clean out the loft, get it set up, and get a chair that is a comfortable to sit in while I am playing. Yesterday I purchased a laptop computer for use in the loft, for TAC.
At my other home in Petaluma, CA, I am also in the process of setting up a dedicated guitar area.
So my new practice plan will:
1) Give me a quiet place where I can focus on practice and learning, no matter which location I am at.
2) Which will allow me to progress faster… which will be motivating and fun.
3) Will keep me from strangling my grandkids. 😮 Maybe they will want to play!
My must have is also coffee!!
