How I TAC -Lizajane
1.) How many days per week do you play?
I’m committed to playing 3 days per week, but I find myself playing every day, both morning and evening.
2.) What time of day do you play?
I play from 5:30 am to at least 6. This sets my day up right.
3.) Where do you play?
I play in the acoustic corner I created in the family room. My instruments are on racks, visible and accessible, and thus played more often. I have an armless chair and a music stand set flat to hold my computer and my coffee cup.
4.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? (if possible name 3 ways).
Before I had a routine I played only on Sunday. I would lead music at church and then I wouldn’t touch the guitar again until the following Sunday. I was surviving, but not developing.
– Playing every day has developed my skills. They carry over into my church music and it is noticeable.
– I am happier throughout the day when I have begun with guitar practice.
– I feel really successful when I return to a lesson and realize how much more smoothly I can do it now.
5.) Bonus Question: What is one non-guitar item that is a must have in your guitar routine?
I would have to say that coffee is my essential non-guitar item in my routine.
