I can actually play notes
I bought my guitar a million years ago (okay, in 1985) at a yard sale for the exorbitant sum of $50 and in the nearly 40 years since then I have failed to learn to play it multiple times.
In week 1 of 30 days to play, I can play more notes than any other time. Do they sound good? Nope. Did I sound better at the end of my session than the start? Sure did!

Aloha Anne – your post reminded me that I’m a smoker and quitting was easy, I did it hundreds of times … until I did for good. Long time ago, but it’s still a work in progress. Learning guitar, for me, was much the same. Just do it daily, make it personal and reward yourself daily, do it for the joy it brings YOU, and guess what – you do end up learning along the way. The “longer” the way, the more you learn.
