I have just completed my 30 Day Challenge :)
I have just finished my 30 Day Challenge and have to admit I’m pretty pleased with myself. A small win for sure.
I had to juggle my practice times around due to important hospital appointments as my Wife was diagnosed with cancer very recently. Massive life win as She has beaten it after her operation and biopsy results.
Guitar wise, I played one gig during the 30 days. I play my own material which I have been writing and recording over many years. The main reason that I joined TAC was that though I am a more than proficient player I had just stopped practicing. My Wife would say that for someone who plays the guitar you don’t play the guitar much at home. So over the last 30 days I have played at home. I even practiced after my gig.
Each day I have taken my laptop upstairs and logged in to TAC and put out my music stand and pulled out my acoustic, metronome, tuner, pick and chair and played for ten minutes or more.
I have been keeping a daily playing diary and printing off the tablature from the TAC pages.
Also I have been using any other spare time to binge watching past Acoustic Tuesday’s as well as watching the new weekly episodes as they are shown. So far I have watched 50 episodes. Any recommended recordings I bookmark on Spotify and have a tablature notebook on hand to make important notes.
I can highly recommend watching the old Acoustic Tuesday episodes because Tony puts out some great advice to help with your practicing. These will come in very handy as time with TAC goes along. He also gives some valuable equipment tips and recommendations that will improve your tone and playing in general.
It’s been a great 30 days so far and I’m looking forward to getting even more musically disciplined with time.
As a huge guitar geek TAC is now my new home online and I’m so happy to be here.
