Posted by nickcirelli on May 13, 2023 at 1:44 pmI am considering purchasing a Zager guitar. Does anyone have one and can share thoughts on them?

I had one, pretty good instruments, Their claim to fame is true, “easy play” action and neck relief was awesome, however they are not made here in the states, and their support system sucks. I returned it.

I get Zager marketing all the time, and I’m intrigued – just not enough to spend the money without being able to play one, which are supposed to be very easy to play based on their set up. Don’t they have a 30 day, postage paid money back guarantee? Can’t lose by ordering one and checking it out. I’d be interested in your experience.

I ordered 1 yesterday. They reimburse shipping both ways if I don’t like it and wish to return it. I will keep you posted when it arrives and let you know my impression, thanks for taking the time to reply to my message

👍😁 That’s exciting. Congrats, and I can’t wait to hear about your thoughts and experience with it. Which one did you order?l

I received my guitar a few days ago. Beautiful instrument and super nice case. At first I didn’t think it played any easier then the fender but after spending a few days with it and then going back to the fender I have to say that it definitely makes a difference maybe not 50 percent easier but I make less mistakes with the Zager. I am thinking it is a keeper. I’ll let you know in a few weeks my final decision

That’s so awesome – Congratulations, and I’m glad you’re happy with it so far. You’ll have to post photos of it, and possibly a video to let us hear it.

On a side note I contacted support about past daily challenges and they told me that members can Share their favorites. I am not sure of the process but I am looking for strumming lessons from April

That’s true. As I believe I mentioned in another post, anyone that has favorited a lesson can share it. All you have to do is go to their profile and select Favorites. It will list all the videos that were marked favorite by a person. I typically save them all. Feel free to go on my profile and check out my favorites. As I previously said, you’ll need to know what the name of the lesson was and what the type of lesson was, such as technique, scale, improv, chord transitions, rhythm, etc. Take a look and you’ll see what I mean.

Awesome thank you. I will post pics as soon as I figure out how 🙂

I am trying the Zad50 om size. I find the full size acoustics uncomfortable. I have a California custom fender and Ibanez acoustic now also a very worn ovation

What I do not like about Zager is the setup charge. Zager charges 500.00-600.00 but you don’t see it right away because it is built into the price. I would rather get more guitar for the money and take it to a luthier for set up. The 400.00 savings will give me greater guitar choices.
