  • iPad not loading site properly

Posted by John S on March 30, 2021 at 8:42 am

Does anyone else have issues with the new site loading all the components? I use the iPad for all my lessons and the new site won’t load the main page properly. I’m missing the daily challenge, my progress, and most of the my stats on the main page. BTW, I’m using Google Chrome on the iPad.

I wonder if Chrome is the issue here. I use Brave and as of yesterday afternoon, everything is loading correctly

I use Chrome on my laptop and don’t have an issue with the site loading (It’s slow, but it fully loads everything).

Make sure you have cleared your cache and cookies.

I agree with mommaTAC , because of your issue, I updated my IPad to the newest upgrade, I logged onto the site using my IPad, and it was way to SLOW and not loading everything! I think what you need to do is clear the browser cache on your IPad (this will clear all the autofills of URLs and passwords). From you IPad, Go to 1) Settings, 2) Safari 3) CLEAR HISTORY AND WEBSITE DATA. Yala, it loaded. It’s still not as fast as my computer, but it did load. The video loaded also.

Hi John – great question. I found this on Google but I don’t have an iPad to test it with. But we know from the recent site update that when this happens for folks, a “hard refresh” fixes it.

Follow these steps to perform hard refresh and reload in Chrome iOS:

I’ve cleared the cache and it didn’t fix it. The problem is specific to Chrome on the iPad as Safari does seem to work. I’m providing this for the admin’s to pick up on these issues so they can address them.

Thanks. I work in tech (was in QA for many years) and know it’s tricky to make sure everything works on all platforms and devices.

For the Admin’s debugging this, here’s my information:
iPad Pro with the latest OS installed
        Google chrome latest version
Cleared all cookies and browser cache
        Stopped and restarted the iPad
Did all possible refresh, reloads to fix.

The issue is the main page doesn’t have all the information. I’ve attached a picture of what I see.
