Midnight Train To Memphis
Based on the Chris Stapleton version, the cell phone, as usual, picked up the guitar better than the vocals; blessing in disguise ;-). My biggest concern was how do you take a rowdy, hard rockin’, electric song and play it on the acoustic guitar, and still capture the mood to some extent. The chord structure is simple, and so it was fast to learn and record. I mostly stuck to it, with a slight variation in a couple parts to fit my idea of an acoustic version.
