  • Nashville Number System Chart & Chord Question

Posted by Canadart on March 20, 2023 at 8:00 pm

Hi. I’m pretty new to TAC and relearning a lot of basics after decades of not playing my guitar. I’m struggling with learning chords so I have…

    Two questions:
    1. Is the Nashville Number System graphic/chart that Tony uses available on the TAC website to download and print for both Major and Minor keys?
    2. Where can I find Tabs for all the chords in the Nashville Number System or some other chord notation? That will make it easier to figure out and memorize the fret positions for these chords when I practice the progressions.

    Thanks!

Hi @Canadart and welcome to TAC!

One of the best sites I know of for everything chords is https://www.guitar-chord.org/ (address is hidden by TAC, but just hover over the blank line and click on it). With regard to Nashville number system, there are a lot of printable examples on line. A few are attached (if TAC doesn’t upload the photos, just Google printable Nashville number system chart).

Thanks for the welcome and for the helpful information. I now have a printed Nashville Numbers chart and a good source for finding chords. This helps with some of the mechanics and makes learning less frustrating and more fun.
