  • Playing to a small group today.

Small win today. I was teaching a medical seminar today. At the close of the seminar I played and sang a song that I have been working on. Then another person in the class borrows my guitar and plays and sings a song. It was a nice way to end the class. One of the participants said next seminar I do she will bring her guitar. Looks like we have a new trend starting.

I had not played in public for over a year. So I was really wanting to play to a group. I think everyone enjoyed the songs. There were lots of smiles and clapping.

Bringing music to the end of your medical seminar – I love it! I imagine that will be memorable for the participants. This year, I was really touched by the Jason Mraz song and video, “Love is Still the Answer”. In the video, he plays clips of videos people took at his request to “turn your camera to love” or something like that. I played the video for folks to whom I was giving performance reviews (at the end of the review) – it brought heart to the process.
