Quite Excited To SEE How This Goes…
I am really excited. Hopeful actually. I started playing the guitar when I was nine, but put it down when I was twenty-five. I wish I never did that… but I have been writing my own songs since I was nine. Have an Italian CD with 5 originals on it. I’ve always loved guitar. The sound of the strings when they squeal under a knowing touch. I really hope this course is going to put me back on track…if nothing else, to play my own songs again. I cannot do it now. Don’t even remember the chords I used for the different songs. Once, they were all in my head. Now they are going to have to be pulled up out of the deep. Anyway…looking forward to renegotiating those strings under fingers that forgot how much it hurts during the first few weeks to get those tips in shape.
Right now, my fingertips are tender. I don’t care. It’s been a long time since I tried and gave up. I don’t plan on giving up this time.
I look forward to hearing how long it has taken those of you who once played to get going again.

Welcome! I hope you enjoy the program! And the people who participate on these message boards are all superb.
It does take a week or two to get those finger tips in shape!
I’m sure you’ll hear it a lot, but try not to get too frustrated with any of the tutorials. You should consider it a “win” for showing up and trying. All of the material and techniques continue to be revisited… you shouldn’t expect to play perfectly like Tony… the point is that you try and continue to improve (even by a little tiny bit) each week.
