  • Rainbow Stew for lunch today

Testing out a finger strum where are you thumb the bass note then use the first finger to flick the rest of the chord up and down . I guess it’s the finger played version of boom chick-a strumming.

The song is called Rainbow Stew by Merle Haggard. I’m guessing it was sarcastic environmentalist optimism being that it was written in the 70’s but it ends up being a bit prophetic for its time if you squint

Sounds pretty good That _Guy! 👍 I tried finger picking for the first time the other day, and was I lost.

other than travis picking patterns it seems easiest to just throw your fingers at the strings and see what it sounds like and adjust by ear and by feel. Takes to much precision to hit specific strings with my giant fingers lol
