Scales:
When I do the lesson each week for a scale; I can get it down, understand it, and play it. If you asked me to play those notes over a chord progression for that key, I could at lease somewhat (like playing over the backing track). There is another scale every week, and they all share some notes. My question is; how can you retain them, and separate them, so you can remember what notes would go with each scale? Maybe it’s just a poorer memory at the age of 69, but a week from now I will not remember this weeks EM scale notes in a way that separates it from other scales. Is there a technique or way that can help? Thanks!
