I don’t know if this really counts as a win but I felt like sharing this. My regular routine is to play a bit of a warm up, then the daily challenge for ten minutes (longer if its fun) and them move on to either a skills course that I’ve been working on or some songs that I’ve been working on. Today I knew I had time to play at least 45minutes if I wanted and I also knew that if I played 10 minutes of today’s pinkie challenge I might be too sore to play anything else…so I played a couple of warm ups and then one time through todays challenge. Figuring that barre chords are tough on the pinkie I then played a couple times through last Friday’s key chords. I went on to play a couple of songs and focused on the passages that required pinkie work. Then played some scales for a few minutes using pinkie. I had ten minutes left so I did the challenge solid for that time. Pinkie and wrist and forearm are sore but I think its gonna work. I feel stronger already.

That’s a lot of pinkying around @markvguitar . Sounds as if you got in a pretty productive practice session – good going!

The pinkie exercises are tough. I think you did it right. Save it for last to complete the challenge or your wrist might be too tired to just play. Good ‘small win’.
