.) How many days per week do you play?

I honestly play every single day usually 2 or 3 times per day. The truth is ever since starting TAC I am hooked, I’m proud of my improvement and feel like the guitar has become a release for me.

2.) What time of day do you play?

I try really hard to get my first 15-20 minutes in before 11 a.m. The first being my warm up and my TAC challenge. But you can bet that if you’re looking for me anytime between 8 and 9 p.m. I’m sitting plugged into my amp, singing and playing and having so much fun!

3.) Where do you play?

Once upon a time we had a dining room… LOL…it has been transformed into our office/gym/music room/computer room and I’m happy to report it is used all the time now.

4.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? (if possible name 3 ways).
What guitar life! LOL… I was introduced to guitar in grade 6 elementary school, classical introduction but my Dad was a very good guitar player and played by ear. I was constantly trying to play Johnny Cash like him. Despite having a guitar other things drew me away.

Before having a routine I struggled with confidence, people knew I played and would sometimes asks me to play a tune and I felt embarrassed . I knew I needed to dedicate more time and make it part of my life!

– I am a person that believes in routine and so when I fell upon TAC and I knew that I needed to sign in every day, do my homework and be part of a draw! That did it for me! The fact that my daily practices have shown me improvement, give me many AH HA moments keeps me motivated.

– Unconscious habit… It has officially happened!!! I had to steal this title from Tony’s post because absolutely unconsciously my habit set in, I automatically pick up my guitar in the morning just to warm up the fingers!

– Focus and fun. The fact that I understand more about the guitar, about chords, scales, and the Fret have allowed me to constantly have fun, I am discovering new things and absolutely impressing my guitar friends with the many licks I have under my belt. Oh how I wish that all kids could learn guitar this way, Fretboard wizard opened my eyes to so many secrets, Love it! Focusing and fun are part of my guitar journey all thanks to TAC.

5.) Bonus Question: What is one non-guitar item that is a must have in your guitar routine?

A bottle of water has become a necessity in my routine, because more and more I am singing as I play, actually pretty pleased with it all. Have to admit that if this is a weekend evening practice, sometimes the water magically turns into wine! A MIRACLE!
