Why is it so difficult to post comments. I was trying to update my first daily “5-Day Challenge” comment, but I am unable to do so.

Sometimes it happens because there is a need to clear your cache.

Thanks. I did. It’s still not working.

Most times I can’t post a reply. It goes to a screen like it worked, but the post button stays greyed out and then it goes nowhere. Only choice is to click the x button then I never see my reply. I’ll see if this one works.

Interesting! I just joined TAC so I have little experience but yesterday (my first day) I was able to post a reply but not my own comment – when I press “publish” a window shows the message “Tony Polecastro says” with an “OK” button. When I press the OK button nothing happens. Any remedies anyone?

    @JILLC @Berndog

This is a known glitch (the “Tony Polecastro says” I’ve reported it to Tech several times and they choose not to fix it. Please report it to them, if enough people complain, maybe it will get fixed. There’s a workaround which I’ll post below.

Many of us have experienced this! Thank-you for asking!

This occurs in the comments area under the challenges and not in the forums. What happens is your first post is without any issues. When you go to add another, it won’t post and you might see a message box with the text:

      tonypolecastro.com says
with an OK button in the right bottom corner

      There’s a work around:

      1. click ok
      2. copy your post into the buffer with the copy or cut function
      3. refresh the webpage
      4. paste in your comment
      5. try to post
      6. sometimes it still won’t post but you won’t see an error message box. Make a small change in the text (add punctuation or a word). Now it should post for you!

Support is aware of the issue but says it isn’t affecting enough users to warrant having their IT team correct it. I have chatted with Victoria a number of times about this to no avail.

If this issue is bothering you please report it to support@tonypolecastro.com. It bothers the heck out of me and I’ve reported it repeatedly. Here is the response I received:

    “Hi again Pete,
It may help to understand that we do not have an in house IT Team. We employ a Company. As such, we are not able to bring issues to them that are not affecting – if not the entire TAC Community – at least multiple users. Otherwise, we are advised of troubleshooting options, as they do monitor all aspects of the site for us constantly. I hope this helps. I understand that it is frustrating not to have your posts go through consistently.”

So their Tech Team apparently monitors the site but they don’t test things like if a member can post or not.
The IT Team monitors the site for technical issues, such as the site going down, Members not being able to log in, etc. They do not post comments.”

Pete, thank you for your update. I have been getting more and more frustrated with this site. I’ve already cancelled the auto-renewal. After 3 months, I will decide if I will continue to log in.

It’s still the best learning site, if they could just get a few basic things fixed…

no other site can do what TAC can, I tried a bunch and I’m still checking out other guitar sites.
