Small WIn – 42 Sessions – Callouses – New Strings
First things first – Happy Mother’s Day to all you mothers out there.
I’ve been playing now for 42 days as a member of TAC. I keep going through different lessons on the 30 days to play. I had never played before in my life although I had a used one gifted to me as a teenager (I never learned the first chord). Still having fun learning and finding the challenges are a little easier each time I pick up the guitar. My fingers don’t hurt much now and are getting very hard but I’ve got to admit it’s a weird feeling – almost like my fingertips are numb. This morning I decided to try putting on new strings for the first time since picking up my new to be but lightly used Fender acoustic guitar the previous owner said had new strings – so I played it like they were new and have no reason to believe they weren’t new as advertised. I have no idea what brand strings it came with but I chose Santa Cruz Parabolic Tension Acoustic Guitar Strings Low Tension. At this point in my journey, I really don’t have a discerning ear to know if these sound any better than the ones I replaced but since Tony had recommended them in one of his videos I thought I’d give them a try.

Def def definitely! My daily routine is to start practicing around 8PM and keep it up until bed…could be an hour – could be two :).
