Small win – Chord Transitions
Today’s lesson on Em Mixed I noticed a change in the way I am transitioning. My hand is not coming up but my fingers are sliding into the next chord with the whole hand staying close to the strings. From Am to Bm there is still some movement but the others are pretty smooth. This has been a long time coming. I am so happy. BTW, I love the new PIP feature.

Thanks the encouragement. It would be great to move from chord to chord without thinking about it. To just let the hands go as they know to do. It would improve my speed, smoothness, and my confidence. I think my head gets in the way – nerves, tension and insecurity. But this step should help.

I think there was a look of shock first and then a big smile when I realized how I was playing. I said out loud as if Tony was there with me “Now I really feel like a guitar player, Tony”

I used to think gaining muscle memory was the stumbling block to learning chord changes, when in reality it was confidence all along. Bravo!
