Small win post carpal tunnel release surgery
So on the 21st of April I went in for bilateral carpal tunnel release surgery. I was afraid of what effect it might have on my guitar playing. I was also not looking forward to the forced time I had to take off playing, to accommodate for the recovery.
I am proud to say that I had my 1st playing session again today. It was the 1st time in 2 weeks!!! All went well, the fingers are a bit on the clumsy side and I have to build my playing time up again (doctors orders was to take it slow 5-10min at first and build on that each day), but I am so glad to report that all went well and I can play again! I really missed playing.
To keep my routine going in the off time, I tried to log in to TAC every day at my set time and location. I watched the daily exercises and marked the ones I liked as favourites (even though I didn’t play any of it 😊)
So glad to be back, massive small win!!
