I haven’t really been seriously looking for a new guitar. But I had decided a few months back that when I did get a new electric guitar it was going to be blue, that may be silly, but I really wanted a blue guitar and had been casually looking at PRS and the blue Fender H.E.R. model.

Went to the local Guitar Center Tuesday to buy new strings for my Squire and decided to pursue the guitars. They had 2 blue Fender Performer Stratocasters on clearance. One was $200 off the other was $400 off (29% off retail).

I came back Wednesday morning and played it along with a couple other Fender Player series and a PRS and loved the way it played and felt in my hands. Still wasn’t planning on buying but went home and couldn’t stop thinking about it. Ended up going back at closing time and buying it.

The moral of the story is that buying strings is dangerous.

@Moose408 Congratulations on your NGD! I get wanting a specific color. I want a red Gibson like Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke plays.

I hope you have a lot of fun playing her. You’ll have to post a video.

I actually think looks are just as important as feel and sound. You have to want to play it.
