  • TAC Daily Challenge Thumbnails are outdated

Has anybody noticed that most of the Thumbnails, the image shown for each challenge before you launch it, are very outdated. I started checking the users depicted a few months ago and did it for a week or so. Periodically I have done the same thing, just look up the TAC member, it’s easy to do by searching in the forums. I’ve probably checked about 20 – 25 by now and only 1 of them was an active member, somebody who has participated in the forums within the last couple of months. Most of those I’ve checked last participated on TAC 4 – 7 years ago! I even found one who is no longer in the user base.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you logged in to start your lesson and there is a member whose video you recently watched or whom you interacted with in the forum, the comments or the chat? A person you are connected to?

My guess is that the photos were taken back in the day when there would in-person get togethers. Either a workshop with Tony or some similar event. It allowed consistent photo quality.

The web site is overall very static and doesn’t get updated often. Changing photos is very time consuming process and most web sites I visit have had the same images for years. (my web sites included).

It would be nice to have updated photos of active members, but the ones used are still relevant. The photos are from the last TAC get together and Bozeman Montana. They haven’t done a live get together in probably four or five years, because of covid. I doubt that they’re going to have any more. It’s a lot of work to put them together and to get guests musicians, set up hotel and camping accommodations, meals shows etc. You probably have to get some type of liability insurance too, when that many people get together

I would have loved to have gone to one of their get-togethers, but they weren’t as big then.

Maybe we’ll get lucky and someday still have another one.
