A huge shout out to Mike G. who traveled to my home to talk a lot of guitar geek stuff and jam with this novice player. We have been actively communicating on the forums but there is nothing like a non-virtual practice session. He patiently showed me fretboard scales and discussed the importance of maintaining rhythm. For this Padawan, Mike is a Jedi! Thank you for both your mentoring and friendship. Looking forward to future sessions.

Wow, thank you so much @Guitargeezer-Jack for that glowing commendation. But it is a 2 way process. I, too, had a wonderful time and I look forward to more “non-virtual practice sessions”. And I gotta say, for a “novice”, you are pretty advanced.

Music needs to be shared. The old (and silly) question about the tree in the forest. If a tree falls and no one is there, was there sound? Of course there was, as sound is defined as compression waves in the air. However, could that sound be appreciated if no one was there to receive it and therefore hear it? Of course not.

So by it’s very nature, Music must be shared for the magic of music to be full. I am great-ful for this opportunity to have a musical interchange.

Cudos to you both. If that ain’t fun, then, well, you clearly found it was. I love this kind of mutual support and encouragement.

Thank you @AttyTJ . I love the VOMs, but it is great when we can share music face to face. Hopefully, @Guitargeezer-Jack and I can do this some more. And maybe I can build another Jam Club. We’ll see. But this first contact was a blast.

As far as the mutual support and encouragement, that’s what I love about TAC. That’s what Tony has done for all of us, share his love of the guitar. We are passing that along when we can share with others.
