TAC routine with a photo
This time with a photo attached.
I wanted to show you what my routine looks like 🙂
I’ve outlined it using the questions below:
1.) How many days per week do you play?
I practice everyday for 10-15 minutes at least, usually with a bit longer on the weekends.
2.) What time of day do you play?
I am fairly consistent with my Monday to Friday practice, and it is always between 19:00 and 20:00, but weekends could be at anytime.
3.) Where do you play?
I always play in my home office, which isn’t ideal because I am also in there all day working.
4.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? (if possible name 3 ways).
I have been playing for many years, but never really made any progress beyond basic chords, but implementing a routine has:
– Stopped me playing the same limited range over and over again.
– Given me a progressive programme to follow in ways and areas I would never explored myself.
– Established a routine in so much as practice is second nature to me. At about 19:00 I go to my office and begin playing without having to think about it.
– Kept practice fresh and challenging, which can only be good.
– Helped me develop new skills (fingerpicking), which I had always aspired to, but never actually started.
5.) Bonus Question: What is one non-guitar item that is a must have in your guitar routine?
The radio on very quietly in the background. Not loud enough to distract, but loud enough to fill in the empty spaces.
