1.) How many days per week do you play?

Am good for five days a week on guitar, usually four days on acoustics at home and then a weekend day playing bass guitar with a local band. Learning songs on acoustic guitar before band practice is always a big help.

2.) What time of day do you play?

Playing in the evenings during the week, around 8pm for a good 30 minutes, and during the day on the weekends anywhere from 1-3 hours.

    3.) Where do you play?

In the den on the top floor where the office is, it’s a getaway to music practice on a daily basis. In the mornings practicing piano in the same room from 7-8am.

4.) What was your guitar life like before having a guitar routine & how has implementing a consistent guitar routine helped you? (if possible name 3 ways).

Consistency is the key in any system whether it’s playing music, exercising, dieting. Feeling more confident here since implementing the guitar routine. Before sticking with the routine always felt a bit guilty about not following through with practice.

Although there is room in the basement for everything, moved the acoustic instruments up to the den where am spending most of the time so the instruments are always there as a reminder. This has facilitated more regular practice.

Having the guitar routine creates responsibility in learning all those ideas I write down in the notebook and sharing them with others.

5.) Bonus Question: What is one non-guitar item that is a must have in your guitar routine?

The one item has to be the tuner, don’t leave home without it.
