taking time to appreciate
During the many years that i once in a blue moon dabbled I never took time to appreciate. As I started to not dabble as much a couple of years ago, I started with a $300 washburn classical, followed by a $900 cordoba classical followed by my nice epiphone hummingbird steel string as I just joined tac. Finally about 3 months ago I bit the bullet and got my last guitar a Martin hd 28 in sunburst (appropriately named Marty). Today I took time just to admire the workmanship of this great guitar. I know martin makes zillions of guitars yearly but they have been doing it almost 200 years. The workers spend years doing a particular job so they do it very well. The finish is perfect along with all the joints, tuners etc. It is just a joy to actually appreciate greatness . And , of course, the magical sound even with me playing it. I hope someday to live up to the quality that this instrument has and inspires. It is now my one, only and last guitar ( im 78).
