I really like it. I can’t believe how much easier it is to play. I have a Taylor GS mini and the T-812 is easier on my fingers than the mini. The neck of the guitar is real smooth and it seems the strings hold down better. So very happy.

Very happy with my choice of guitars. It will keep me out of the guitar stores for awhile .

Great win! I had a nice Gretsch acoustic I let go a year or so ago for the same reason, Just couldn’t bond with it! just because a guitar sounds good and looks great doesn’t mean it’s a match, glad you found a good one happy picking!👏

Yep. you are so right. I think I am going to get along very well with my new guitar. My GS mini i’m going to tune to an Open D. I still have a Cordoba nylon string that I play a lot, mainly because it’s easy on my fingers when I’m just trying to practice something (like the challenges).

Beautiful guitar. I was just doing todays challenge and switching between my Martin HD-28 and Taylor 816ce. I really like my Martin but the Taylor neck and body feel at home. I pained between your guitar, the 814 and 816. All amazing guitars. Best of luck with your new ax!

I wouldn’t have been able to purchase the Taylor 816ce if I didn’t use the Martin D28 as a trade. It would have been too much money for me to justify. I rarely used the Martin because it was a bear to play. I really like the Taylor. It was a good trade for me, even thou, I did lose money on the Martin. I now have a guitar that fits me. It a good life 🙂

Thanks Duane58 , When you start going shopping try out as many guitars as you can. I went on-line a lot and googled guitars good for finger pickers. googled guitars for light strummer. Googled that were all wood. Watch the ‘all wood’ thing if that is important to you. I found the site had to say ‘solid wood’ to not be a laminate. Then make a list of which ones could be a candidate for a new guitar for you.
