My “small win”- (yeah, right!)- is that I am able to just “be” in a group with all of you- here in the Forum, and also within the TAC family.

Imagine and realize for one second just how cool it is to have folks of all different backgrounds, of all different ages, of all different abilities and talents- (and selflessly willing to share that knowledge), of all different levels of “where they are” in their own guitar-journey, and with all different eventual goals in guitar.

And yet, we have ALL become members of ONE large group- with a common bond and “direction”.

You just have to step back and think about just how cool– actually amazing– that/this whole thing is!

To Tony and the entire TAC team- (and their overall philosophy of learning guitar)— a HUGE THANK YOU. You all have made (at least me- I’m thinking thousands more)- my guitar journey a reality. I’M DOING IT!!!!!!!

I’ve gone from a frustrated/almost bored TAB player to a competent, knowledgeable player- (with still a LOT to learn!)……………. OK- “somewhat competent”😜………

Learning to play guitar is tough, and I know the “learning” and improving will never really be done- but that’s why I’m here— that’s why we’re ALL here, right?.

Again– Thank you (all) for puttin’ up with my crazy posts and thoughts and questions.

And have a happy, healthy Holiday season!!!!!!!!

I’ll second that emotion, as the fabulous old Smokey Robinson classic puts it!! I’ve been on this amazing but sometimes terribly frustrating guitar path for 4 years now, and in the last 7 months since I found TAC I know I’ve climbed up the mountain much further and faster than the previous 3+ years. Of course, I’m nowhere near the summit and likely never will be, but at least I can now foresee achieving some level of competence with these lovely instruments🎸

As you said so well, oldcoach, sharing this journey with many other enthusiastic guitar geeks is invigorating and very inspiring. Seeing our fellow TACers enjoying their progress makes me that much more determined to keep picking and strumming along😆

I concur @the-old-coach 👍 What better place to share our stories of victory or defeat. This Community has been extremely helpful in my journey and that’s why I try to be helpful and positive whenever I can.

Great post. I think a lot of us agree with you. Learning and improving it is the name of the game and it’s so much harder to do it alone. Having the backup of others is great. Reading the questions and comments only help us out more. Glad to have had all the encouragement along this journey. We all learn from each other. 🙂
