Quick story:
When I was 18, I became a ski instructor. We were shown the basics that we were going teach to our students. We had to do them perfect so our example illustrated the correct form with no extraneous motions. I had reached expert level in skiing several years prior to this, yet my skiing technique improved noticeably giving me a lot more stability.
I love being led through Tony’s guitar learning method in a structured way by this new platform. I have watched the NEW! Message from Tony and the Quick Start videos. I have completed my profile, including my Guitar Goal and Guitar Routine. And I have put the 90 day Guitar Progress Parties on my calendar. So, now what?
Well, the quick story above did have something to do with this post. I’m going back through the 30 Days to Play Challenge. I will keep y’all informed about my “Small Wins”. 😁

I am going to be one to join you on the 30 day restart… Mostly because I feel like I need to back up a little with Lyle now that his new enthusiasm can pull him through the parts that are boring to him. I think the new layout will make it easier for me to put him in the driver’s seat on it this time.
Got one kid at a friend’s and the other at Mom’s this weekend, but I think next week we will be putting the living room together for a communal place to play, so they will stop coming in my room and tearing up my bed whenever they want to play together.
I also have gone through all the startup videos and have set my profile. I think that’s a nice walkthrough.

Hi, how do I see this 90-day party thing, and is there guidance or advice somewhere on setting up a 90-day routine?

punder – tune in to the monthly guitar party on April 7 and you’ll get all the info you need from Tony on how to set up a 90-day plan.

That’s the beauty of this community, @punder , because we all need help and we all can give help.
So, the Monthly Guitar Parties are the first Wednesday of every month at 11am Mountain Time. You will get an email from TAC that gives you a one click link to join the live feed. Four times a year, January, April, July and October, the Monthly Guitar Party covers our 90 day goals. Each time, Tony helps us understand how to set our 90 day goals and helps us evaluate how we did on our last 90 day goals. So the next Monthly Guitar Party will be a 90 day goal setting “party”.
As @lisa18wheels said, Tony talks about the 90 day goals in the quick start, which is found under your tag name at the top right beside your profile pic.

Hi.
Started the 30 Days To Play Guitar Challenge last Monday (March 29). I felt the need to brush up after so many years without playing.
After this first week, my fingers are throbbing, and I have blisters on index and ring finger.
Hope to keep up with you through this next 3 weeks. After that I intend to follow with the Daily Challenge until I complete the 90 days routine.

That’s excellent Louis, and it was great to meet you today on the SNL VOM. If you have played so much you have blisters on your fingers, you are in good company. 🤣
PS, Louis is probably spelled differently in Portuguese, but I don’t know how to spell it. I couldn’t even spell Portuguese correctly without the spell checker. 🙄
