A big win I had at the start of the course was to put at least one guitar out on a stand 24/7

Then with a love of open tuning I purchased another stand and put a second guitar on it.

I have a guitar I don’t like to leave out of its case but I have the others to hand.

Lately I have had sudden urges to play at odd times and having a guitar, even one guitar, out in the open ready is fabulous.

Great wins @Timbothirroul ! Having a guitar that you can grab off a stand and play is definitely provide the enticement to do jus that! 😎🎸🎶

    Timbo & KM–

    Agree–

This is a good point you have made here. I have one hangin’ on the wall right where I play.

If I happen to hear a chord progression, a melody, riff, or something- (with or without lyrics combined), or maybe an old song from my past, or– if I just come across something I’m reading, it’s great to just grab that guitar– RIGHT THEN– and get it into my memory banks. And write it down– or play it into my laptop camera- (or both!).

Also, having a “spare” just for any alternate-tunings is great, too.

I think most have one “handy” – but still- a big win!
