#small win in that I snagged tickets to see Tommy Emmanuel play Sunday night at the Paramount in Austin with three other guitar buds. I’ve never seen him live so this should be rewarding.

I’ve never seen Tommy Emmanuel in person, but I have seen him, along with Eric Gales on a taped show from a Joe Bonamassa cruise. Those guys were jamming!!
I’ve seen Bonamassa multiple times and met him 3 times. You have to go see him too if you get a chance.

Got in at midnight from the Tony Emmanuel concert and it was amazing. Richard Smith opened for him and I was unfamiliar with Richard but he was great. Then Tommy performed pieces beyond the abilities of mere humans, mostly originals but with a few instrumental covers. The audience at the Paramount was well rewarded for passing through COVID protocols. If you can catch them on this tour, you will sleep with a smile on your face and songs in your heart.

@albert_d Gkad you had a great experience!! I never heard of Richard Smith either, but he’s playing with Tommy when I go too, and it’s good to hear that he was great too.
