  • Week 1 30 Days to play

Posted by PBmax on December 8, 2024 at 9:01 pm

Wanted to record my first week of 30 Days to play to set base of where my progress will be in weeks and months to come. I Started Dec 1st after not touching my guitar for 6 years so starting all over. As Tony says “Here goes nothing”

Great way to start getting that rust off after six years. It is melodious and you can tell what it is. Nice base line. Keep it up!

Welcome! You’re on a good path. Recording yourself is a great way to see the progress that will come. You will see it. You’ll wake up that muscle memory.

Welcome to TAC!! You’re off and running as they say (please don’t ask who “they” are. – lol.

I also recorded early for benchmarks. I decided very early on that I couldn’t let insecurity stop me from doing so. I have been very transparent in my journey, and I’ve posted the good, the bad, and the ugly. Each tine I grew and improved because of it.

Your playing was steady in most spots and yes, melodic and easily recognizable. Much better than I was a week into it. Keep up the great work!

Excellent decision to record yourself and double kudos for posting it! This will enhance your growth greatly. And nice job with the baseline!
Greetings from a Canadian living in Florida.

Keep up the good work, eh!

Thanks for the kind note. Slow progress is still progress. Looking forward to my 6th month video. Hit them straight in Florida. I won’t see a golf course until April.

Funny of you to say that, I live in a golf course community and even had a neighbor gift me a set of clubs, but I never play!

Thanks for the encouragement. I am having fun and Tony’s lessons following and repeating. Haven’t missed a day and as Tony says consistency is the key to finger placement and pick direction. Slow progress is still progress!

Great work, you played a bassline, man! I bet you didn’t think you’d be able to do that when Tony first showed you (I know I didn’t). And respect from the UK for recording yourself and then posting – a great record of your progress.

Yes. I posted week 2 in the benchmark section. Feel I am making progress. Slow, but slow progress is still progress!
