Where do I start again?
Posted by Vgirl60 on January 9, 2022 at 11:13 amI started in May 2021 and really enjoyed learning but then the covid blues set in and I really didn’t feel like it so my practise dwindled.I probably haven’t played since last August. What do I do? Go back to the beginning for the 30 day challenge?

That sounds like a good plan. If you start to get bored then continue with another Skills course or the try Daily challenges. Just remember to search out the fun! Learning occurs easier when we ditch expectations and instead play and explore like when we were kids. (I need to remind myself of that a lot.) I’ve also been away from TAC and most other music for a bit due to life and I am restarting my musical adventure. It’s the journey that matters….enjoy the journey. Welcome back.

It is difficult to practice when there is a whole lot of a whole lot happening but great that you are back with your guitar in hand.
Run through the 30 days challenge to brush up and start to build your strength back up in your hands, then do the next 6 days course …and then dip in to whatever takes your fancy. Last week’s daily challenges have been really good as well.
Best wishes

Welcome back @Vgirl60 ! I agree with @SWeissman013 & @GraceX that it might be beneficial to go through the 30 days to play & next six chords again. It will help get you back into the groove of things, and you’ll rebuild strength & calluses. You can choose to do the daily challenge simultaneously, because they don’t take up too much time. I spend 10-15 minutes on the daily challenges. If you’re ambitious, jump into the skills section and take a course in an area that interests you. Good luck, and have fun!

The “30 Days to Play” should be one of the menu choices where you can select other options like “Acoustic Tuesday”, “Daily Challenge”, “Skill Courses”,etc. It’s a great reboot for those who drift away but desire to return back to playing again @ram24night . Also think the skill courses can motivate you in whatever type of playing you prefer. Play on!

It is even possible to contact the support team and ask them to reset a course, for example “30 Days to play”. The course is shown as completly undone and you can enjoy marking the single lessons “completed” again.
But please consider this only if you have completed just a few courses. Because there is a catch: when the TAC-Team tries to reset just one (1) specific course for you, it might happen, that ALL your completed LESSONS of ALL courses are set back to “uncompleted” – although all completed COURSES are still shown as “completed” in the OVERVIEW of “Skill Courses”.
And until you have marked all single lessons of the completed courses as completed again, sorting the Skill courses with “my progress” doesn´t work.
