Woodstock Music Festival, Bethel, New York, August 15–18, 1969.
Posted by Loraine on August 9, 2024 at 7:49 pmIn memoriam of Woodstock and to celebrate it’s 55th anniversary, I offer my rendition of White Rabbit, Jefferson Airplane. I’m sure it doesn’t come near the original, but it’s still fun to play and sing.

I wasn’t physically there but I was emotionally there at 19.

Haha. I was a youngster then. I probably wasn’t even allowed to listen to that type of music. I began my adventures as a blacksheep rebel between 10-12. lol

One of my favorite songs from the 60’s! Your style works well for this diddy!
I admire how you put yourself out there, it’s inspiring! I’ve been working on a song because I really want to share something with the TAC community. I’m close but not quite there yet. I’m realizing just how hard it is to sing and play guitar simultaneously!! Can’t seem to go more than a few bars without messing up!
And it’s a real easy song, only 2 chords! But there’s this entity called “Rhythm” and his brother called “Timing”!

@langerking I told myself about 3 or so years ago that I was going to put everything out there – good and bad. It is probably a good thing. I think it helped me get better. I had never played guitar, and it has not come easily to me. I had to get past my fear of playing poorly, being judged, judging myself, and rejection or ridicule. I know I’m not a great player and will never be, and I’m okay with that. I’m having so much fun.
Singing and playing are diff8cult, but not impossible. Start with an easy song that sounds like the music (same cadence, short and easy Examples are happy birthday, row row row your boat, itsy bitsy spider, twinkle twinkle little star). Just do one strum per beat. I posted so many videos where I was out of tune, off beat, etc. Who cares. The next time, you’ll play it a bit better.
So, moral of the story. Just do it!

I finally posted the song I’ve been working on, Lorraine. Thanks for encouraging me!
