They breed flames of hate, obscure the truth

Peddling lies, claiming they embody you

Believing we’re ignorant, and won’t even try

To question polarization, there’s more than X and Y

Institutions created, before science asked why

Controlling the masses, use fear to comply

They reward us with hope, for when we die

Doctrines imagined, in times before X and Y

Parochial mentality, with imaginary stresses

Suspending reality, create tiresome dilemmas

Not hungry and cold, thirsty or tired

Homeless displaced, or trapped under fire

So be grateful thankful, and dare to try

Thinking for yourself, questioning X and Y

Oblivious you dwell, in your first-world dreams

Whilst you continue, our planet screams

Theoretical issues, linger in their minds

Privilege problems, they need to assign

Adapting evolution, to suit replies

Convinced they’re different, neither X or Y

History is done, learn and be gracious

Political correctness, sensible is contentious

Just listen be kind, use common sense don’t lie

You’ll never please them all, they’ll change their X and Y
