  1. Since I don’t see a diagram of the fretboard with named notes I find saying the notes confusing. even though at one time I was very familiar with them.

  2. I’m looking forward to finally making some progress in my guitar playing. I’ve already set up my firepit to burn most of the previous “instructions” that I have on learning to play guitar. Talk about information overload!!

  3. I haven’t played for many years, so limbering up my fingers and finding my way around the fret board will be my first challenge. I’m up for it and determined

  4. Long time bass player but never Really learned to play the guitar very efficiently. I am hoping this course will get me going and motivated
    to do Better.

  5. Hi Everyone, I just joined today, bought my 1st guitar a half hour before signing up! I finished this 1st lesson and my hands need some work! Feels very uncomfortable and stiff, but hoping it will get better with playing daily. Im no spring chicken but if others can do it, so can I. :o)

  6. Can’t wait to get started playing the guitar!!! I’m also excited to receive my orangewood Rey to learn on. I also have a Randy Jackson studio series, which is what I’ve been learning on.

  7. What a disappointment!! I don’t know how your hand looks so relaxed playing that chord. My fingers don’t reach trying to play this power chord! I don’t know if it’s my hand position or physical limitations, or what. So much for a “first guitar win”. It’s much like my trying to play my archtop guitar when I was first attempting to learn to play 60 years ago.

  8. I have to go cut off my long fingernails or I can’t play any cords. My practice guitar needs new strings. Won’t stay in tune, but my Gibson Classic has such a big neck.

  9. I’ve played since the mid seventies. Most of this was remedial but some was new. I have no regrets doing this and look forward to improving. Time to pract………I mean PLAY!

  10. Would like help with my fingers, getting them to press on one string so I have a clear note, plus my hands wrist can’t curve around the neck, do you have suggestions about a guitar or type of strings ,width of neck Etc?

  11. My third finger doesn’t seem to reach the 5th fret. It hurts my wrist to stretch this finger that far while keeping my f1st finger on fret #3.

  12. Any suggestions for getting your fingers to stretch a little. My index on the third and ring finger on the fifth fret was a little tough to stretch.

  13. Hi can anyone tell me how to throw this from my phone to my Roku TV because trying to watch these lessons on my phone is painful and I am old and have failing eyes. I watch YouTube videos on my TV and that’s how I found Tony but I would like to see the lessons on my TV too.

  14. So far my fingers dont seem to spread naturally without putting alot of pressure on the strings to hold the cord position!

  15. I enjoyed learning new things again after not playing for about 15 years. I have never played anything other than first position on the fretboard. Previously, I was locked into to learning via Mel Bay’s book 1 and book 2. This method is so much more fun. I love how I am feeling a change in my finger tips as they are toughening up.

  16. Oops! So much for me following directions! I was working from the downloaded PDF of the Guitar in 30 Days book that I downloaded Sunday! I just tried working through today’s challenge (love Rick Derringer and that song!). It was kind of a mess, but I did learn a couple of things. Didn’t know what a hammer on was (and I do now). Does one complete this section first and then do challenges or should I try to do both? It was fun to pick up the guitar today after so many years of neglecting her.
