This was pretty fun. I had to take it slow, but it almost sounds like music. Progress.
My pinky finger just doesn’t bend in this direction…
I’m working on coordinating my fingers in position on the strings and in the right rhythm.
I’m not very smooth at the changes but with time it will improve. I love the blues! Thanks for this one!
I could have driven myself crazy trying to get both strings to ring in each position. Not possible in one setting so I focused on the feel of the music and moving my hand around without looking for the frets for the base position. Not perfect – sounded quite “plinky” but had fun. Something to re-visit as my hands get stronger.
Fun, but… Yeah fun.
Yes, pinky problems.
A lot of muted strings
really having trouble to get the 5th string not to be muted, my pinky seems to now want to cooperate.
I just can’t stretch my pinky to the 7th fret.
Me, too. What I have done successfully is slide my index finger down from the G to the B string and up to the next fret and position my ring (stronger) finger on the seventh fret instead of my pinky. Before retirement, I had worked with a highly skilled general surgeon who had a thumb and two fingers as a result of a teenage farming accident. I figured if he could perform lifesaving surgeries with that combination, I could manipulate my fingers on a fretboard. And it works. If I revisit this exercise a year from now, it may be a different story with progression.
Lots of fun!
Really challenges the finger stretching on fret hand ,,, but love this one!
.
Here, I found a fun place to warm up with the blues!!
This is definitely a stretch for my short little fingers. Will take a bit more practice for sure. Love the way Tony can make it happen.
I am struggling with the hammer ons. Anyone got any advice?
That was fun, once I got them all together and looping!
Nice!
that was a stretch for my fingers! my left hand is tired!
This was more of a challenge. I played until my picking fingers were numb and my fretting fingers were about to fall off but I think I just about have it under my fingers (my sore fingers!)
Way too fast for me! I can’t keep up!
