So cool!!
-
On the turnaround, I found it easier to use my middle finger all the way down. Then when I play B and E open I can come back to the second fret of B for an anchor. Then I use my index for fret 1 of E and ring finger for 3 of B while keeping my anchor. Then I slide down.
-
This is a fun riff to play, really enjoyed it
-
Whew, tuff one, but by gosh I’m going to get it.
-
I’m having difficulty with the pinky and ring finger. The pinky doesn’t want to cooperate without the ring finger. It’s like they’re conjoined twins. Lol.
-
This might be my favorite one to play up to now. Sooo much fun playing the blues!!
-
WAYYYYYY too much too fast. I still can’t even remember the names of the strings.
-
Can’t getthe pinky curled enough
-
Great exercise. The turn around keeps throwing me off when we switch to the B and E string.
-
I am having trouble fingering with my pinky.
-
Good exercise
-
Like it but having trouble with the fingering…..
-
I like it!
-
Same. Pinky keeps muting the B string
-
Day 4 is extremely difficult
-
Struggling with my pinky finger fretting properly on this one. It’s a stretch and I keep muting the B string. I’ve had two instructors tell me guitarists with smaller hands play just fine, and so I’m waiting to find that true for myself. In the meantime, I’m experimenting with finger strengthening using a large rubber band.

I’m right with you Kstone.
I have done mostly down strokes for several years but I am determined to make the alternating up and down pick pattern natural and not something i have to think about. Getting much better. -
Still a work in process with the pinky, but sounding a lot better!
-
It’s a relief to hear that I’m not the only one struggling with the pinky. This is tough, but I’m going keep after it.
-
This looks really easy but it’s really hard . Your pinky naturally wants to fret the B String.
-
I know I am new to this but is there tablature that is supposed to go along with these courses???
-
Beneath each video window on the right side is a heart, to the right of the heart is a small icon that says tab in little tiny letters. Click on that and it opens tabs in a new window. In the video itself, the second icon from the left is a ‘picture in a picture’ icon that will open the play video in a smaller window so you can see the tabs and play along with the video at the same time. Hope that helps.

Agree with everyone, the pinky is a big problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?
-
Hoping hand stretches will help
-
-
Had to come back to this one after finishing fretboard wizard. Still hard to make the notes sound clean but i am able to do the pattern fairly well.
-
Well, it took me seven days to get this almost right. Quite happy with my persistence with this and the end result.. more than happy now to move on..
-
Very hard get the pinky working and getting the ring finger out the way.. I can see the advantages down the track in getting this right. I’m going to spend a half hour a day on this for the next five days. I’ll let you know how it ends up.
-
I like muting this one, also played around with alternate picking and finger picking. Once you get it down experiment with other ways to play it!
-
Have to agree with everyone pinky not making it. this is going to be a challenge!
-
Need to give this a break my left hand is hurting
-
-
That is a hard pinky stretch
-
Little finger will not cooperate. Will have come back once i get the little finger working
-
My pinky will not stretch that far. I’ll just have to work on stretching the fingers.
-
Pinky not cooperating. Otherwise good
-
yeah my pinky not having any of this, can’t make the stretch
-
i can’t make the stretch with my pinky finger
-
Did he say the “p” word at the end of the “Learn” video (practice) ?! I thought that word was uncouth 😉
Also, yeah, pinky ain’t havin’ none of this, more so than any other Tony thing I’ve tried so far. Not even close, but I’ll keep trying.
-
i have to replay this about three times stop pause and so on . i have to wright what your saying as u say cord & finger please be precise & clear
-
this one is a real challenge. Pinky just does want to bend properly. i keep getting dead strings when i use the pinky. but i will keep at it.
-
Also found this one hard to get clean, but will move on.
-
Not sure about the 5 day part lol, pinky and ring finger don’t like to work independently, took me 3 days to get through it, it’s not perfect but will keep working on it. Thought it was impossible at first, but kept on it. I’m calling this one a win. Hang in there.
-
Thanks for the encouragement.
-
-
I found this very tricky! My pinky is a weakling and won’t bend how I want it to. Will move onto the next day’s challenge and keep coming back to this one.
-
Very very challenging, can’t seem to move my ring finger independently while fretting the pinky grrrrrrrr
-
this hard
-
This was fairly easy for me, as I’ve been playing for a long time, but I found myself speeding up too much on the 2nd (A) chord. I had to play along AND watch the video to get the timing right, but it settled in nicely after a bunch of repetitions.
-
Trying to get back into it after knee replacement 1 month ago. Day by day trying to catch up.
-
This totally challenges my use of the pinky finger. As I work on this I’ll mark it as complete, but I’ll have miles to go before I sleep.
-
I cannot get my pinky to not mute the B string not matter how much I try. So frustrating
-
Just keep at it, it will come in time.
-
-
Once again my old hands don’t work like this. the pinky is just not cooperating
-
This one is very challenging for me.Lots more to practice as soon as my digits stop stinging oh yes.
-
Very tough getting that little finger involved and making it clear. Will take some work.
-
I found it challenging as well yesterday. I adjusted my hand to curve my fingers more and moved my thumb to be centered behind my playing fingers and it helped me reach and play the pinky finger better. hope this helps anyone who reads it.
-
Congratulations, !
Challenge complete
Come back tomorrow for your next challenge
