Double Axle

Today’s scale is a two for one special, yes it is your lucky day two scales all in one day… well kind of. You will execute a G major scale way up the neck today. The first iteration of the scale is a a standard diatonic major scale (do, re, mi fa… etc.) on the ascending portion of the scale, the descending portion of the scale will be that of a chromatic nature. The chromatic portion will sound odd for certain, but the anticipation that is created in the use of chromatics is a tool you need to know. I mashed these two together so you could see that over a closed position major scale chromatics are possible “within” the shape. Have a blast experimenting with these!!!
