Foundational Five

The foundational five are just what they sound like: a foundation for you to construct your fretboard knowledge on top of. Most importantly these foundational five are here as a reference in case you are in the midst of the Fretboard Wizard course and things don’t seem to be clicking. If ever you feel stuck, or that you aren’t “getting it,” come on back to these foundational five and dig in.

  1. I thought 3 patterns of E string worked . Directly top E string . 2 steps to guitar body D string and 3 steps down to headstock on G string. What am I missing ?

  2. OK, I sort of see it, but I don’t get the consistency of how many strings down from your starting point and then how many frets up of down.
