In this lesson, you will become aware that although the rhythmic divisions look the same they can be executed a number of ways (all of which are correct) so that you can vary your approach to rhythm and have diverse offering while accompanying another player or yourself.

Why is pick direction important?
Well, that was fun!
I probably picked this up quicker than any other lesson to date. Maybe… just maybe, I AM a guitar player! It’s beginning to feel like it!
I just want to say, I am falling in love with your course!
Great Teaching! this will take a few days if not weeks of practice time.
Think I’ll adopt this as a daily warm-up.
getting it slowly, little by little
I REALLY enjoyed this lesson! I will be coming back to this one time and time again. Thanks for this! The strumming makes a lot more sense to me now.
this is very helpful.
This makes sense to me.
Agree with chainbucket- trying not to watch the strings but not hitting them consistently
Sounds great, I have difficulty with the up and down picking and hitting the right string consistently
This will take a little work
This was a very interesting lesson. pic direction makes a big difference. Thanks
I somehow missed these lessons. I’m so glad I found them. They are fun to play and learn, and add dramatically to the music.
Skeater, I totally agree.
Very Cool!
This is very cool, and I love the sound of the chords.
This is great! It’s like topping on plain vanilla ice cream.
FUn? wheres the heart love button to save New stuff for me with the latter part
Been away from practice for a bit. This peaked my interest and was fun to play. Still find myself losing track of where I am in a strum pattern. Good practice on focus and concentration.
Great lesson . Still problems with c chord that once broken middle finger dosent curl enough for a clear D string . Working on hand position.
Got it
Doing okay
Sigh…if only I could consistently pull off a C major chord. Any-whoo, I got the eighth notes with down-and-up strokes so I’m headed to bed after a win. Amazed with the progress that I’m making and what I’m learning along the way.
Good lesson, Tony! As I’m traveling I left my guitar home but I’m absorbing your lessons. Definitely will add value to strumming I’ve been doing–and being “obnoxious.”
I grew up playing clarinet. This is so much more involved to be able to read the music and stay in time. Fun Fun….
So far so good ! Let’ move to the next step.
I really struggle with keeping the rhythm of this lesson.
I like this lessen but beyond picking two strings, I get lost
This tab downloaded. First three did not.
Ah-ha! Never mind my last post; I found the tab behind the ‘Materials’ tap (above). Cool Beans!
