You, sir, are way more organized than me for your daily routine!

I need to start a practice journal at least, and it seems, get a timer.

I will be starting FBW when the new session starts up so maybe some of that organization will sink in as I tackle that.

Your daily routine seems pretty solid. I hope you heal up soundly so that you can enjoy your routine and life without pain!

    That is a busy Schedule!

Alice’s restaurant alone could take all day just to get through it once 😛

What a fun song… story… moral lesson…. whatever he intended!

David, this is one of my favorite Dead tunes. It came on my spotify rotation on the way to work Saturday night, and I wondered if you would do this one. I don’t have the pipes for it but you sure did it justice.
I have enjoyed your Dead series, you have done great!

    Nice!
I have a selection of grippy picks too, from my adventures of just learning not to loose them mid strum. From a couple of folks on the old forums, I got turned on to Dava picks, which are awesome! they are a little slow to ship though.

The rest I have are various Dunlop textured picks my LGS has in stock.

Oh and as for your favorite, I’m afraid they did not get on the arc before the flood and we’re washed away

When you are on the lesson page just below the right corner of the video, there should be 2 icons. A heart for favorite, and an eighth note for the tabs. Some folks are having trouble seeing them as they are grey on white, but they are there.

I for one would have my whole routine turned upside down without the tabs

Welcome to TAC @Ricky-D I hope you enjoy yourself and learn a lot. This, despite some of the grumblings you may hear at the moment, is absolutely the best guitar learning system, and greatest community of guitar geeks online! Glad to have you along!

    YAY!!!

I didn’t want this subject to go bye bye since I am also in my infancy with this!
I did get a piece of (combo??) gear recently in the form of a Boss acoustic amp that will plug into the computer via USB so I can use it for an Audio Interface.

I await with anticipation what those with more expertise post here!!!

Well the spreadsheets and visio diagrams are way more than I have put into organizing myself. I just print some tabs or memorize a scale shape and go on with my routine. I thinks some of your method, if I adopt it will make me more mindful of what I am doing and perhaps translate into greater understanding.

As far as what makes a new/intermediate/advanced player. I can see where you are coming from and some of the detachment from their early learning that some of the more virtuostic types have. I think those that teach are constantly reminded, and that helps keep them grounded in some ways.

In the old forum @Mike-Gaurnier had an interesting take on that whole beginner – intermediate – advanced idea, that I found refreshing. There are some things I am intermediate at, and some things that I am a beginner at, but his take is that this labeling has a detrimental effect on how one sees themselves as a player. I have taken to using “more practiced” and “less practiced” to describe where I am at. I think that type of thinking is healthy, and leads to knowing that you CAN do a thing if you put in the practice, rather than the thought that you can’t do a thing.
