Why I'm Here

I wanted to learn bass in high school, but only found a six-string acoustic guitar to borrow from a friend. I learned a few chords before returning it, and never did get a bass. Probably within a year of when I borrowed my friend’s guitar I got a Fender F-5, and I still have it. Picked it up and put it down for years without learning any complete songs. The action was pretty high on the strings, and the intonation was always kind of sketchy, so to step up a bit I bought a Takamine AN10 in 2004 (all solid wood, cedar top, mahogany back and sides). It is worn a bit where the pick guard would be if it had one. The frets are worn down quite a bit too and I don’t play the Tak so much since I bought a Taylor 210 DLX in 2016. The Taylor was slightly used, built in 2015, solid spruce top, layered rosewood back and sides…best guitar I have owned so far. Plays great, sounds great, and definitely sees more play time than the others!

City

I want to feel confidence to jump into a jam session, listen and go for it. Oh, and perform whole songs without messing them up…
