If you like a powerful version of an Edith Piaf kind of voice check her out. Not for everybody but I love it!

Thanks for the kind words.
Sadly at this point I have yet to be able to combine what I have been learning at TAC with the other things I do on guitar…My sound outs are very basic…just writing the notes on the melody line and rarely adding chords to it. The act of listing on this page every song I sound out is to reinforce the small win for me. But it would be great to see if others want to give it a try too!

But my small wins are checking out that pile of dozens of songs I noted
Glad you are seeing progress.. and thanks for reading my post.
Cheers!

MemberFebruary 2, 2022 at 9:55 pm in reply to: My daily small win posting- sounding out a song. Thanks Rando…for me it is a nice routine because I rarely feel like I score a win on the daily challenge…so it is satisfying to pick out a tune…which is not usually that hard to me. Noting it is a bit tougher, and then even harder is finding notes to harmonize… and noting the timing forgettabout it -haha but the daily challenge gets me going-enjoyed tonight’s!
I would recommend giving it a try to train your ear and see if you enjoy it.

Hi Mark
Thanks for your comments…I have been having mixed feelings about my decision to reup for a year. It actually does seem like Tony is incrementally improving on the lessons in that they seem to come together a bit more. There are a couple of sites that I used in the past that I actually felt were much better in terms of content. I also took about 6 months of classical lessons which were so much more productive….
Having said all that…I am really motivated everyday to do my “10 mins”…it is totally part of my routine….and I look forward to it and appreciate the “small wins” .
It frustrates me because as good as it is it could be so much better. It would be nice to have a “big win” incorporated ie learn a beautiful song incrementally from start to finish that I could play for my wife or a grandkid!
Best of luck to you…be curious to hear what you decide to do.
