@kurtv I think the 30 days to play is a good place to start. You can start the daily challenges at any time. But, I would recommend taking the 5-day routine challenge to explain what the challenges are. Good luck and have fun

@GuitarGeni , I think it sounds like a great routine. Gives you a day in between to think about what you want to do on ‘play’ day.

Really? I missed the AT this week. I think I’ll try to get in as much of the Slide course that we have available to us in the skill section. Yes, super excited.

@KevinAppel & @Emjaye ,I found by taking the “5-day routine challenge” it explained the daily challenges to me. Gives a bigger picture of what we can do with the daily challenges encompassing the entire week. They are good as being just a daily challenge, but you can take them a step further. When the fretboard wizard comes up it would be a big benefit to take it. It goes into music theory. Tony goes into music theory as gently as he can. From what I hear, there are updates being done with the program. I’m hearing it should be offered soon.

Relax @Nick B , just spend 10 minutes on the challenge and be done with it. If it’s something you would like to go back and practice with, then click the ‘favorite’ button. This week’s challenges have been a little on difficult side, not to worry, they aren’t all like that. Also if you haven’t already , do the ‘5-day routine challenge’ in the Skilled Courses. It helps to explain what the daily challenges are all about. Good luck and be assured, you are doing fine. Don’t stress, guitar playing is fun remember 😉

@Ping , I like fingerpicking the most, but I have just started getting the hang of strumming. I agree with the other posts on what fingers for what strings. @Carol-3M-Stillhand , i didn’t realize that every other week was finger picking, thanks.

@dfmarcus63 , I would recommend you take the 5-day routine challenge along with the Daily challenge. Monday is a great day to start both. The 5-day skill course explains what he is showing you in the daily challenges. Good luck and welcome.

@Ron-N , Sorry you got discouraged with TAC. I know myself that I didn’t like a lot of things that had changed last year. But, it’s ok. We are here to get ourselves into a playing routine. Learn styles and a little of music theory. I just signed up for my second year and very happy I did. I found a lot of things that I didn’t see in my first year. I really did like Tony’s Fretboard wizard and I learned a lot from it. Happy you stayed for another year. Try to make the most out of what it offered to you in this year of TAC. I also use other sites along with TAC and it’s working great for me too.

@jumpinjeff , I was using Dunlop but they are 1.14mm. Next time I go to the guitar store i’m getting thinning. I think Dunlop has an assortment pack. That would be the way to go. Thanks, the thinner pick looked to be half the thickness of the picks I was using.
