Good one! It knocked things back a bit, but finally caught up later today. Ended up figuring chord progressions to a cover song Wed and yesterday as well… Not sure if it’s totally correct but it sounded good to me. (Will continue to suss it out this weekend.) Congrats Bill — Keep it going! See all you lovely folks next week. ~ Cheers!

Interesting. Pulling out kinks is tough. Especially when it’s 1969… lol

Yes, it does. Trying to build on progress is work. It’s also nice to finally leave the dry frigid winter season… ugh… Havoc on my six strings!

There’s another called Pick Honey… also good for grip trouble, from what I understand.

Haven’t tried Picker’s Grip but, I’m adding that to my list. Someone else mentioned something called ‘gorilla snot’ — I guess it’s used by guitarists and drummers for improved grip.

Great idea David. I’ve got slightly smaller fingers, but I’ve tried both larger and smaller picks for comparison. The smaller pick feels much better; however, larger styles (made of certain materials) aren’t bad.

For example, I’ve tried larger, form fitting wooden picks that seem pretty good. (By ‘form fitting’ I mean a handy-dandy thumb indentation.) The wood texture and indent feels great. Another one FTW!

I gravitate toward small picks, and those with a more tacky texture at the moment. I’ve moved away from smooth slippery styles.

My next plectrum experiment will involve different shapes.

Love Dava, yes! 🙂 Currently in my group of faves and it works quite well… if you look closely it’s shown in my profile photo. (It’s a lil’ greenish blue… or is it teal colored wonder pick.) To gold pick shown here is the ever popular Herco Gold (Herco Flex 50) pick.
