Hi @speckpgh , lots of good advice above. I am also remembering an exercise for chord transitions where Tony did a five count and the idea was to bring your hand from your lap to a successfully fingered chord. Once 5 seconds seems like a lot of time you go to 4, then to 3, 2 and 1. Perhaps something lime this might work however instead of from you lap go from the previous chord.
They other thing I do, which actually seems a bit crazy to write, is mentally picture the next chord shape or finger position I want to hit while I am playing away on the current position. For this to work for me I need to have spent some real time on the song. The crazy notion I am using here is to “go where the puck will be” rather than where it is or was. (I know I am about to get hammered by hockey fans for this). As I said earlier – it sounds even more insane now having read what I just typed! 😜

Great win @Mrfredsporty ! You are hearing what and how the artist is creating the guitar parts. Cool 😎

Ok @Cadgirl , now for the really ironic thing…. I started getting my screen of pink death when I was attempting to reply to you in thread in a different forum! Spooooooooky! 👻
It seems to be Ok… for now! 😝

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣… so I am hearing operator error! One practice I will share that may save at least some of the wasted time part: once I received the pink panther screen of death once, I decided to copy my post and save it in the Notes app in my iPhone. It didn’t help me get it posted but at least I didn’t have to type it umpteen times! Yesterday this was finally resolved when I logged onto my laptop. I was able to respond to the list there.
Thanks for the commiseration and help! 😀

Hi @Philb and thanks very much for the listen and the feedback. Drop D tuning sounds a bit “rough” to my ears (in a pleasing way) somI think that comes through. Thanks for your support and encouragement! 😃
