They are the same for everyone. What I have discovered over time though is the many layers you eventually find. As they occasion repeat, I find 1) I am better and they are more quickly refreshed and 2) I start to fuse the lessons with other ideas. For example (and @Bill_Brown and @jumpinjeff are very good at this) play the exercise at a different place in the neck (a different voicing) or on a single string or barre chord or chord shape. The lessans take the thought and planning out of what to do this week at a core level. Then I spend my time in enhancing the technique and completing my quarterly goals. Enjoy.

Yes, the techniques behind it have been covered at some point in the past. I recall the Tuesday lick was In the Old Mine and the Improvisation Wednesday lesson was called Skippin’ and a Jumpin” and the Rhythm was Transistor Radio but beyond that I’ll not be much help in finding it. You might be able to find it by going to my profile and under those I’ve listed as favorites you might find it. I have read others in the forum direct folks in that manner. Good luck and have fun.

I am in your camp when it comes to recording. I try for one. If it’s bad, then maybe two. It has to be really bad to go for three or I just decide I’m not ready to play it yet and it needs some more work. All those takes, “takes the fun out of it and makes it work for me. The benchmarks Tony suggests I do, but I don’t post them. I like your Jimmy Rogers catalogue. You have built up a nice repertoire. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve always loved the line “won’t read the book because the ending is just to hard to take.” Good performance and good “Song for a Winter’s Day”. (Perhaps another suggestion.)

Such a well-crafted song both musically and lyrically. I appreciate the nuanced chords with alternate voicings to keep it interesting. It is a joy to accompany you on this journey. I am headed to NOLA for Mardi Gras next week. It is my first time back since I was there in 2020 when COVID broke out. It causes me to think of our TAC journey leading up to and through all that Zooming and other surreal musical sharing. But back to point… great original song.

That fun. It is great to find some musical piece that calls you to a meaningful time or place in your life and then to realize that you see the path to actually play it. That’s happened to me with Here, There, and Everywhere by the Beatles. I’ll post it sometime this year. Great win.

I have a Martin backpacker guitar that I take with me when I travel. It is easier than a full guitar to carry places, has sparked conversation wherever I go, and keeps me on my plan. And I can always access the internet and use my laptop for the Daily Challenges.

Thank you. The video aspect is something new I am starting to play with. So far it hasn’t become work. I don’t do multiple takes when I record because I found out earlier that does suck the joy out of playing. Playing by definition has to be FUN.
