It happens to me all the time as well. Tonight in fact. What is weird…it will count the next day (Tuesday in my latest case). All my lessons are marked complete..but the counter is broken. What drives me nuts is I keep getting told they are “working on it” but nothing ever gets fixed. I know it seems like a little thing, but I guess I am still tied to the old days of TAC where Tony used to give away a Taylor GT mini when you had perfect attendance as it where for the quarterly progress meetings. They would throw a dart at a chart with all who had it. I never won..but still…my OCD is now in place and I want an accurate count running.

Couldn’t find Tony’s version, but here is Justins.

Loraine has great advice there, as it gets you used to working with a metronome (which I am still terrible at). Another route is to try the quick draw technique that Tony has, where you just put your fretting hand at your side or around the neck of the guitar, and go from one chord to the next as fast as you can as many times as you can for about a minute. (Justinguitar calls these the one minute drills). You keep track of how many times you went from G to C for an example. Next day, do it again, and keep working it over and over. Soon you will start to see it getting easier. Remember, it is all a marathon, not a sprint, so no big hurry to get there. Don’t beat yourself up over something that all guitar players experienced as we are on this learning journey.

Yes sir. Happens to me all the time. I report it, get told they are working on it…then about two weeks later it will happen again. Annoying as hell, but I suck it up, as I like the routine and the daily guitar work out I get here.

A daily Crossfit session for guitar if you will. Good luck with your decision though.

Good job. I love this song myself. Part of my open mic night repertoire .

Don’t let “perfection” get in the way of progress. If you are at it for at least 10 min a day-you are on the way. Trust me, it gets better as you go. I have been around for about four years now, and I continue to get those “wow” moments as something I struggled with back then comes easy now. You got this. Don’t let that inner voice win.

Sound great. I am a little jealous. Would like to find a band or some other folks to jam with, but doesn’t seem to be any interest in my neck of the woods. Great stuff though.

Yep, mine too. I even had to message them and thank them for the restoration, as I kept complaining when they would nuke my counter. I am looking forward to the Tuesday update, and hope the site moves a bit more smooth in other areas as well.

Like anything else, muscle memory will come into play the more you use them. The chords you listed, I can easily hit them without looking now, but it took me some years to get there. Now I am working on being able to do that with barre chords like Bm, Fm, etc. Just keep working it, and it will come. If you want to exercise it, Tony has what he called the “Quick draw” if I remember it correctly from the beginning course, where you try to hit the chord as quick as you can for a time period. Justin Guitar had a similar technique. You put a minute on a timer, and go between G and C as quick as you can…it works. Good luck in your guitar journey.

It doesn’t allow you to do the next days challenge, but the error shows that you have already logged in that day, and that is where it is restarting your count to 1.

Heading to an Open Mic night tonight…but found that via Facebook. But thanks,
